Church workshops takes the Working Genius and brings the biblical understanding of the model into application on leadership teams, deacon boards, and the volunteers. 

​

Paul tells us in Romans 12:6 (NLT) "In his grace, God has given different gifts for doing certain things well..."

​

The Working Genius assessment is 20% personality and 80% productivity. People who understand

their geniuses show up to work in ministry happier, are more effective, and play well with others.

This assessment - unlike others, shows us what we crave and excel at as well as what crushes us. 

​

One of the areas I love about this assessment is that it helps the church remove guilt and judgement about our gifts. Because of a lack of understanding, there are people in the body of Christ that have been harmed, gifts disregarded, and left to feel guilt and judgment; because they operate differently in the stages of work. 

This assessment and workshop helps teams to understand how God made them to execute work.

Imagine the freedom of understanding why you struggle around certain types of work ("Working Frustrations") and now seeing someone on your team gets joy and energy in this stage of work ("Working Geniuses) and you can release them and your self to spend more time in the steps and stages of work that fulfill you - its how God established the church. 

 

First to need him where we are weak. Secondly, to be connected to one another - valuing our gifts. 

Working Genius Certified Facilitators are equipped to analyze and apply results to help

individuals, teams and churches leverage Working Genius to be more innovative, strategic,

effective, heard, seen, and valued.

​The Six Types of Working Genius is fast and simple to apply. Churches that use Working Genius

with staff and volunteers get more done in less time, have lower turnover, and increase morale.

How To Begin

 

Step 1 : Leader Assessment and Debrief - Define Opportunities 

​

We start with a simple conversation together around opportunities you would like to go after with your leadership team. I will set you up with a code to take the assessment. "Set aside 15-20 minutes Distraction Free to take the assessment. Focus on where you gain joy and energy in work. Not what you believe is expected of you." Then we will set up a 1.5 hour Leader Debrief session to review your results. 

 

Step 2: Launch With Leadership Team​

 

If you feel aligned with the results and see the value for your team - we can discuss the investment for your team to set up a team assessment and workshop session. The session's goal is for the leadership team to understand the Working Genius model and its impact on their team and the local church. Together we will explore opportunities to go after with the application of the model in a biblical way. 

​

Step 3: Appoint An Internal Advocate

 

Identify one or more people who will advocate for Working Genius within the church. Your internal

advocate(s) will help create awareness, momentum, and support. Your advocate can utilize the additional

resources provided through your Certified Working Genius Facilitator.

​

Step 4: Implement With Second Level Teams

 

Once the Working Genius has become part of your leadership culture, you may then look to move this into second level leadership - deacon boards and then volunteers. If this is a small church where many of second level leadership are your volunteers - you may decide to move faster into second level implementation for maximum church impact.  This will enable your leadership to put people in the right roles, value volunteers gifts, conduct more effective meetings, and get work done more quickly.

What you will quickly love as a pastor and a church leadership team will be more efficient communication and a healthier church as it will become a place where people are seen, valued, and heard for who God created them to be in expanding the kingdom of God for his Glory and Honor.

Typical Workshop Outline

 

We can design your experience to meet your church's unique needs. Workshops are typically 1/2 to a full day experience. We always want to explore opportunities for future success. We can do this by looking at a previous ministry project that did not go as expected using the Working Genius to illuminate the why and how to plan for the future. We can also plan a 3-month Implementation Coaching Experience to help the team in current and future ministry endeavors.
